Look I like a sob story now and then and this is a good one. A month ago Ron Hunter, the basketball coach at IUPUI, decided to solicit donations of shoes for people in Africa that are too poor to buy them. The world's greatest website other than this shitty blog (ESPN.com) says:
Hunter's original goal was collecting 30,000 pairs. After news of his endeavor started to spread and shoes started coming in, he mentioned he might increase the goal to 40,000, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. By tip-off [last night], he had 110,000 pairs.
"When we started this I thought 40,000 was going to be tough," Hunter told the Indianapolis Star. "When they told me before the game we already had 100,000, honestly, I almost broke down in tears."This dude is way cool, even though IUPUI is the shittiest name for a university that has ever existed. It's even worse than Oral Roberts. I'd rather go to Fuck Face University (FFU) than one called IUPUI. At least at Fuck Face you'd know all the chicks would probably be sluts. And everyone loves a slut.
