Everyone loves pictures of hot dude action, and this post is all over it, baby. The CEO of Countrywide Financial has canceled his scheduled speaking engagement at a Real Estate Conference sponsored by some shitty university. Apparently he decided it would be best not to appear since he made like two hundred trillion dollars in the last few years while hurtling his company into bankruptcy. Sort of like Isiah Thomas. That stupid shitbag.
Anyway, I guess a lot of people are happy about it. I read on PageSix that:
The head of the muddied mortgage group will not be speaking at the university (of San Diego) on Jan. 22 — to the delight of protest group Disinvite Mozilo. "USD continued to display enormous amounts of arrogance (and silence) to our very polite requests they disinvite Angelo Mozilo to their conference," the group said on its Web site. However, "Angelo, himself canceled. We're thrilled."
There are three things I'd like to point out here:
1. Am I dreaming this or has this dude slightly overdone it on the tanning?
2. "Disinvite Mozilo" has its own website. I wonder what grand plans this organization will do next?
3. Isiah Thomas is a fucking dipshit. I like him more when he was making out with Magic Johnson

Can I first say this, DAVUD you are a very prolific bloger. Wide is your reach and varied are your topics, impressive, off times obtuse and maybe even a little boring but impressive none the less. I am surprised that a "Free Capitalist" such as yourself would rail against the likes of Angelo Mozilo. All this guy did was give the people what they wanted, houses that they could not afford. Credit the guy (pun is intended) for finding a way for someone with no job or income to speak of the ability to borrow $600,000 on a house that is worth $300,000. Believe me he is not the only one that made money when all of that shit was rolling along. He is like all pushers, he is only slightly responsible for the stupidity of others, if they did not get what they needed from him someone else would step in to provide the fix. Dude could use some skin care advice though, we do agree on that, move over George Hamilton there is a new leather face king on the block.
I also agree with your incredibly insightful commentary on Isiah Thomas. Did you happen to read this little gem? Isiah said "he felt like the guy that lays the cement but never gets to live in the house". I think he was trying to say he had built a foundation with the Nicks and needed time to see things through but his quote made no real sense and just was stupid like everything else Zeke does. First off who do you know that ever has poured the foundation of the house they actually live in, the premise of his metaphor makes no sense. Also, Portland Cement or simply 'cement' is the bonding agent that is mixed with aggregates such as sand and rock to form Concrete. It is Concrete that is used to make the foundation of a house, cement is simply one of the ingredients. His quote makes about as much sense as if I were to say "I feel like the guy who mixed the flour but did not get to go to the Birthday Party." What? Isiah is a loser.
Well stated my friend. There was a great article on Thomas on ESPN.com yesterday, by none other than my former dormmate at the Lord's University, Chad Ford. We lived on the same floor our freshman year and knew each other very well. Funny that I found his article on Thomas AFTER I'd written about how Thomas is a cockmaster. I bet Ford copied me, that plagiarizing son of a bitch. Now he writes articles read and discussed widely by millions of men at water coolers around the world, and I write a blog read by a bored IT consultant in Tennessee. I wonder who has accomplished more in life? I'm very accomplished and important. Regardless, I love you more than he loves all his fans combined.
Thomas is such a train wreck there is just no description for it. It's hard to describe what a loser he is. Within every man's sense of justice is the belief that talent, hard work and luck often work together to provide tremendous opportunities for some people. Theo Epstein, for example. Or John Mozeliak, 38 year-old GM of the world's greatest sports franchise. But within that sense of justice is also a sense of fairness, that if these hard working, talented and lucky people actually suck shit in every way, they'll eventually get their come-uppance. Thomas is the worst GM I have ever seen in my life. His continued employment really bothers me. I can't wrap my arms around it.
